KIDZ'NGRIEF provides concurrent
grief support for any child aged 3 to 18 who has lost a loved one to death.
Therapists believe that children know how to process their grief if they
are in a safe, supportive environment with other children in the same
circumstance.
KIDZ'NGRIEF does not provide
psychotherapy, but offers support through art, games, stories, play and
other activities which promote expression of feelings and thoughts, thus
helping children adjust to the physical loss of their loved one.
Each year KIDZ'NGRIEF sponsors "Mikey's Camp"
for grieving children, which costs $15,000 annually. KIDZ'NGRIEF and all of its programs
are underwritten by private donations and are free-of-charge to all
participants. KIDZ'NGRIEF serves children from
Williamsburg to Virginia Beach, Virginia and is affiliated with Bon Secours
Healthcare.
Your participation in the Yorktown Victory Run will aid the KIDZ'NGRIEF organization. Can't
